School Children fill emergency boxes

eboxes

President David Carter with Pupils from Tarporley Primary School.

Three emergency boxes were filled in December, and are being sent to the National storage centre in readiness for the next International disaster.

Thousands of boxes are collected and stored each year so that they can be despatched at a momemt's notice when a flood, earthquake or other disaster strikes.

Each box contains all the basic things like some clothes, plates, cutlery, rope, pegs, washing powder, toothbrushes, a toy, etc that a family might need in the first few days if they'd lost everything in their home.

Contact the Rotary Club if you would like your organisation to take on filling a box.
